Press:	I'm performing at 11:30, then at 2:30 I'm teaching a workshop in beginning guitar where I share all the shortcuts and secrets that I learned the hard way--over many years of research and experimentation--that would have drastically reduced the time and effort it took for me to learn to play the guitar (and banjo). The traditional approaches to learning guitar often postpone the fun part--accompanying yourself when you sing songs--until you have mastered a series of difficult chords, complex rhythmic strumming and/or picking, etc. My approach uses techniques such as open tunings and string reduction to get you to the fun part right away, and it's much easier to practice when you're having fun!
